2020 Maari Ma Indigenous Art Awards - $10,000 in prizes

Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery, Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Health Corporation and West Darling Arts invite you to come celebrate to 10th Anniversary of the Maari Ma Indigenous Art Awards.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists residing in the Far West region of NSW, were invited to submit entries for the Art Awards. This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Indigenous prize with an increased prize pool of $10,000 thanks to Maari Ma.

The aim of the prize is to provide an opportunity to showcase and celebrate art works and creativity in the Far West by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. The prize in non-acquisitive.

Official Opening and Prize Announcements will commence at 6:30pm from the outdoor stage located in the Gallery Car park.

There will be an outdoor car park event in conjunction with the prize featuring local indigenous musicians, artist and community stalls and activities.

The car park event will run from 6pm - late.

MMIAA is presented in collaboration with the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery, Maari Ma Aboriginal Health Corporation and West Darling Arts.
