In this poignant new series, Broken Hill artist Ann Mitchell pays tribute to endangered and extinct species through delicate watercolours. Each animal is painted with quiet attention to detail and accompanied by its conservation status, creating a powerful reminder of the fragility of our ecosystems.

These works invite reflection on the urgency of conservation, while honouring the beauty of species that are disappearing, or already lost, from our natural world. Through her sensitive brushwork and thoughtful presentation, Ann Mitchell captures both the wonder of these creatures and the deep sense of loss their absence brings.
