Bakandji Man features new works by Barkandji Elder Eddy Harris, whose practice is deeply connected to river, Country and community.

Working across canvas, bark, wood and emu eggs, Harris uses art as a powerful form of storytelling. His works reflect a lifetime of experience living and working on Country, alongside Elders, and through his long-standing roles in cultural education and community organisations.

Through Bakandji Man, Harris shares the histories, knowledge and cultural strength of Barkandji people, offering visitors a meaningful and personal insight into Country and culture.
