Hart for Art: The Anonymous Art Fundraiser

Hart for Art web.jpg

In honour of the 20th anniversary of Pro Hart’s passing, the Broken Hill City Art Gallery proudly presents Hart for Art an anonymous art exhibition and fundraiser supporting Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research and care.

Open to artists of all ages and experience levels, Hart for Art invites the community to submit original A5 artworks in any medium. Every artwork will be exhibited anonymously and sold at the fixed price of $50, encouraging visitors to choose works based purely on instinct, emotion, and connection.

Presented in alignment with Global MND Awareness Day on 21 June, the project honours Pro Hart’s enduring legacy as one of Broken Hill’s most beloved and recognisable artists while raising awareness and support for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Through art, generosity and community participation, Hart for Art hopes to bring people together for a cause that touches many families across Australia.

The exhibition officially opens and artworks go on sale from 10am on Sunday 21 June 2026 at the gallery. All are welcome to attend the official opening, with light refreshments, tea and coffee provided throughout the morning.
